The objective of the Competition Law is to increase the economic efficiency of the country by developing vigorous competition among the bidders operating in the domestic markets for goods and services, so as to ultimately improve consumer welfare by having An offer of better quality and price. To achieve this, the law regulates:
I.- Absolute and Relative Anticompetitive Practices,
II.- Abuse of the Domain Position, and
III.- Mergers and Concentrations. A Superintendence of Competence is created, who will be in charge of applying this law and impose the fines and other penalties contemplated in the same.
